Next time, we want to see something else, maybe get a little off the standard guide-book trail. Is there a lot to see and do in western Turkey, around Edirne, etc? Where else would you recommend traveling to to see and learn more about Turkey. Is eastern Turkey safe enough with all this PKK business going on these days? Sagol!

Everyone, has the responsibility to find the truth for themselves. What is stated below, must be researched and verified, so that every individual can then decide to accept, or discard it as myth. The only truth is God the Father, the Son our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Read the Bible, pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance and our Lord Jesus Christ will not abandon you, but will place the truth in your heart.

+++

We must not try to copy the world, but be different to it, as the example set by our Teacher, our Lord Jesus Christ. Being the same as the world, sharing its base values, being part of the fashion trends, is all part of Satan's system (Sex changes that are taking place ever more frequently and therefore not knowing anymore who is a man or a woman). The Pope of Rome is one of Satan's instruments (the Papists have immense power and wealth, our Lord Jesus Christ was humble and owned nothing). Talmudists/Zionists want to rebuild Solomon's Temple and proclaim their own false king of the world (there is only one King of the Jews and Orthodox Christians and that is our Lord Jesus Christ). Their power base is the U.S.A (Superpower of the world). They control many governments, banks, newspapers, television stations (the media in general), etc. We must not forget the very elusive and cunning Masonic Lodges which form part of Satan's means to spread anti-Christian and heretic information. Television and video has been one of the most powerful tools of Satan, which has ruined the ethics which sustained our youth and the family unit. With pornography in all its forms, men have been misled and subsequently their women, a whole generation of our youth and their families have been devoured by Satan. We have forgotten about God, the Bible and prayer and have allowed ourselves to go down the road to hell and have fallen into Satan's trap (in other words we are slaves to flesh and our desires). Hedonism is the aim of humanity.

The group that is attempting to rule the world, consists of three member countries, U.S.A, Europe and Japan (3 presidents). Their central control, consists of 32 members (of the 29, 8 are Americans; 9 from Japan; 12 from the European Union (controlled from Belgium/Luxembourg). Head of the 3 member group is Rockefeller (his head quarters is in Rhodes, Greece; his specific influence is in the U.S.A and E.U). Whoever does not obey the orders of this group are murdered. Death is the penalty for disobedience. Another Satanic "club" is called, Bildeberg. They can destroy any government and put a new one together again. They can make a country vanish and create a new one too. 200 members, which include intelligence agencies (CIA; BIA; BND (Ger.); SIB (Ital.); SPELA (Fra.)). There are members who are involved with NATO and hold important positions in the US administration, etc. They hold an extremely harsh stance against the East, especially with Russia because of its Christian Orthodox heritage. They exterminate/demolish any opposition.

An enemy going back thousands of years is head quartered in China (the Himalayas/Tibet). The Seljuks come from that region, who are the ancestors of the Turks, who attacked and oppressed Christian Orthodoxy in Asia Minor and Greece. The Turks/Jews have tried many times to wipe out the Greeks and Christian Orthodoxy. They call the Greeks and Christian Orthodoxy, the people of the "Blue Trigramaton" (which is referring to the Holy Light that emanates from our Lord Jesus Christ's tomb). The roots of martial arts is that region spoken of above. Martial arts are Satanic and anti-Christian and yet has our youth spellbound under the innocent guise of sport/fitness. In the Himalayas there is a glass pyramid (Sambala), it has many entrances. This is where the White Brotherhood is based. It's aim is to destroy all the world's religions except its own. It has more power than the U.S.A. It has more resources at its disposal than all the governments in the world. It has infiltrated and controls many governments and religions (Roman Catholics, Protestants and Judaism). The First and Second World Wars were masterminded by them. They are going to start the Third World War too. The White Brotherhood works with the Bildeberg club and all the others. They are assisted by the Zionists. They created Hitler and introduced the Swastika (broken cross, that is what it means). Hirohito of Japan was responsible for a massive bloodbath, but he was not punished like the others, after the Second World War because he was a member of the world ruling 3 member group mentioned above. Grey Wolves (Turkish Muslims), are connected to the White Brotherhood. Only Grey Wolves members may rule Turkey. They must always maintain a harsh stance against Greece/Christian Orthodoxy (Turgut Ozal, was exterminated for his softer stance).

The White Brotherhood want to destroy the followers of Jesus Christ. They call His followers, bi pods or two-legged ones. Their methods are many: thirst, hunger on a worldwide scale. All plants and forests must be destroyed. Wars, so as to ensure maximum slaughter. They refer to humanity as a chicken breeding farm. They destroy humanity with drugs; they have contaminated our drinking water (it has been doctored with medication); our food is also contaminated and our clothes too from the fancy washing powders that we use (that is why everyone is getting ill and they don't know why). Thirst on a worldwide scale, for eg.. Euphrates to be dried up because of Turkey, which will lead to a confrontation with Iran/Syria. Hunger, for eg., Russia was the world's wheat provider, even the U.S.A relied on her. The White Brotherhood ensured that Russia would starve. In Moscow young women give themselves for a plate of food. Homosexuality, the U.S.A being its banner. One can go on and on, but there will be no end then. It is devastating. But do not despair, if you are a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ because He has defeated Satan and the world.

(This is a summarized version and a translation of a tape recording in Greek, from a Greek Orthodox perspective of course, given to me by a Monk at Calvary/Golgotha in Jerusalem, Christmas, 2001. I cannot divulge any names, nor my own because this is a very dangerous subject. You will have to verify the truthfulness of the matter yourself. Please excuse my errors of spelling or other.

Today, in Istanbul, a prominent intellectual and prolific journalist was gunned down. Hrant Dink was the editor of the Agos newspaper, which is a bilingual publication in Turkish and Armenian, and the most prominent figure attempting to begin a serious local debate about "the Armenian question." If Turkey ever once stood a chance to convince the world that what happened between the 1880s and 1920s was actually a civil war or bi-partisan conflict (and there is a small amount of evidence supporting this view), this chance has been lost today.

For more on Hrant Dink:
Turkish: http://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hrant_Dink
English: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hrant_Dink

Journalists live a risky life here. Ugur Mumcu is another prominent writer who was assassinated, killed by a car bomb in 1993:
http://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/U%C4%9Fur_Mumcu

And many bombs have been planted in and around newspaper offices in the past few years.

Anyway, my sympathies go to the family, friends, and co-workers of Hrant, a passionate lover of Turks and Turkey who was killed today in front of his newspaper office.

We were interested in chartering a yacht on the way back. We want to go to check out the coastline, but we would also like to sail back up to Istanbul. I've found that most chartering companies already have set routes and do not go all the way back up to Istanbul. Any suggestions???

Hey, I'm going to Turkey for the first time, and all of the travel web sites and a few of my travel books "strongly recommend" that American travelers to Turkey get immunized for hepatitus A, typhus, tetanus and one or two other delightful maladies that I can't seem to remember right now. In y'all's opinion, is this really necessary?

OF !#$%-ING COURSE, our health insurance doesn't pay for travel immunizations (ahhhh, when the Revolution comes ... when the Revolution comes ... ), and the price for the recommended shots is more than $200 ($400 for me AND my wife ... ouch).

We've traveled in the Balkans before, without precautionary immunizations, and we lived to tell the tale. We would much rather spend $400 on ouds and darbukas and concert tickets and museum tours and imam bayildi and belly dancing gear than on a half dozen painful shots in the arm that may or may not be absolutely necessary.

Does anybody have any experience with this?

I am a raw vegan, and I know most of what I have read says that it is important to cook the food you get from street vendors/the store in Turkey. For safety/sanitary reasons I would be willing to cook a limited amount of food. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with eating raw (but washed with filtered water, I am bringing a water filter) fruits and veggies, especially those w/o a tough skin (oranges, bannnas, avocados, grapefruit) like carrots, broccoli, and spinach. I am presuming finding fresh fruits and veggies should not be difficult. I know I probablly won't be able to find raw nuts and seeds, but are nuts and seeds avaliable in the "avergae" grocery store? I am heading to Antalya. Thanks in advance!

BUT ... everything that I'm seeing in the tourbooks and the websites seems to be saying that the only way to fly into Kayseri and Nevsehir (Cappodocia's two airports) is from either Istanbul or Ankara? Is this right? There's NO way to fly to Cappodocia from Antalya, Bodrum or other, smaller towns and cities? It just seems insane to have to fly from Fetihye westward to Istanbul and then back eastward to Cappodocia! Are there smaller, local airlines that ply routes OTHER than out of Istanbul and Ankara? Thanks. Wish me luck!

Thought I might rent a car, as I don't have a lot of time, and want to see a few different places if possible -Izmir, Ephesus, Konya, Capadocia. But the roads look pretty daunting to navigate while I'd be driving here for the first time. A travel companion would be nice.
Any suggestions? Are there ride share boards anywhere? Should I skip the notion and take trains/buses? All advice is very welcome.

We have one free day, and if I could see one other place in Turkey I'd love to see Capadocia, the pictures of it are amazing. But, its probably too far to go there and back on a day trip from Istanbul isn't it?? Does anyone know how far it is?
> Love and Light to you all sisters and brothers of the rainbow family,
>
> Turkish rainbow retreat gathering ended with a peaceful harmony like
> it was seeded.
>
> We started our scouting caravan with 9 sisters and brothers from
> Olympos.
>
> We walked up to the Bey mountains as mother nature offered us a
> place to gather,on the day after the Venus transit. As jandarma(the
> police)at first wanted us to go away, with our oneness, faith, courage
> and will, magicly we solved the confusion peacefuly.
>
> Seed camp started with two rainbows on the sky.
>
> The gathering started on the newmoon with fasting and we light the
> mainfire alltogether with a beautiful ceremony.
>
> We had two springs on the site, one was used for drinking and the
> other one we organized as a shower with a pool.
>
> For more freshing river energy we walked down for the big river
> called "Alakýr" with lots of fruit trees on the way.Gathering site
> viewing Bey mountains(3070mt)and Saklýkent mountain (2800mt) which
> is just like a pyramid.
>
> Some sisters and brothers fasted, some followed raw food and some
> made a vipassana camp up from the gathering site.We feeded our souls
> as we didn't focus on food.We gave thanks by chanting and dancing.
>
> The workshops were mostly based on the ones; that the lovely local
> people around shared with us the old traditions of life like string
> making from the goat or sheeps hair with kirmen(traditional tool for
> making string)Also we had maya calender,indigo children,modern
> dance, spanish, bellydance, capoeira and chakra healing workshops.
>
> Fullmoon celebrations lasted till the first morning sunlight. Some
> locals even joined to our fullmoon om circle and celebrations.
>
> 35 sisters and 31 brothers from 12 different countries(Italy,England,
> Switzerland,Czechrepublic,Israil,Japan,Usa,Canada,Germany,France,
> Slovakia and Turkey) joined the circle of love peace and harmony.A
> pregnant sister,a 4 months old baby,1 year,2 years,5 years and 9
> years old children were like the lights of the angels in the circle
> and around.
>
> Some sisters and bothers made caravan in different times from
> different directions to bulgaria for the european gathering.
>
> With the newmoon before the cleanup ceremonies we made our vision
> council circle. We consent for signing out and dropping all our
> internet connections related with rainbow family as a vision to
> focus on magical ,heart-soul and mind connections with the family
> like it was before internet as a rainbow way.Listen to your
> heart.Follow the signs,the wind,the rivers.....Welcome home.
>
> Thnak you for the amazing mother nature welcoming all of us.
>
> Thank you for the circle who shared their healing love, peace and
> harmony with all.
>
> Thank you for the healing food that offered to us.
>
> Thank you for freshing air.
>
> Thank you for the poisonous scorpions, snakes and the spiders
> (zennube:)) that we learned not to be afraid of and become friends.
>
> Thank you for the healing om and the chants that we sang alltogether
> for healing
>
> Thank you for the lovely local people that welcomed us.
To introduce my self to you my name is Zerihun G.mariam. My country is Ethiopia interested to visit your beautiful country turkey in the coming 2 months time. To start with I planed to visit Istanbul for business and pleasure.

If you are interested can you give me some information about turkey and particularly about Istanbul?Where to stay how to make friends, how to go here and there …and also I would like to know the cost of living in Istanbul before planning my journey there. As I heard and read from the Internet life in Istanbul is relatively cheep compared to EU. Is that true?

If life is cheep as I thought I might stay there for 4 months contacting Turkish used textile and garment machinery dealers and visit some garment manufacturing plants as well.

Looking forward to your prompt replay.

I'm half Turkish but never grew up there. I did spend a considerable amount of time there as a kid. I was recently in Istanbul for four days to see my dad after 20 years of seperation. Unfortunately he was ill and soon thereafter passed away. But I have rediscovered my family. I also got to meet my 12-year-old brother and 15-year-old sister for the first time. I have a very large and loving family there and will be making frequent trips back. Istanbul is a crazy town, but in future I'll be spending time in my father's home of Canakale. Maybe someone is familiar with him? He went by the nickname "Dana Osman." If you do a google on this name two articles about him will pop up at the top of the first page. Since I don't know much Turkish yet. (I grew up in Germany and US) I would appreciate if someone could translate them for me. My relatives don't know much English, alas. Thanks.

there's also an awesome club in Taxim, in Istanbul, with three floors. on each floor is a different sound of music, generally Turkish-American cover bands, but they're awesome and the crowd is wild. what is it called? camunga or something?

i love the turkish baths and the hooka bars. but i love the turkish men the best. chasing girls down the street trying to sell us rugs. i've got enough rugs, thanks, but the turkish men are a real treat. ladies, ignore the warnings in the let's go type books and enjoy the turks - but maybe go out with them in groups, say with a girlfriend. every time one offers me apple tea in his rug shop, i go with - if he's cute that is, which he almost always is. the turkish food is insanely good as well - i recommend Aladdin, down the street from the Cheers Bar. they've got a nice hotel too, and it's as cheap as your youth hostel. you know, throw out your hosteling book in turkey - talk to the Turks and take their advice. if you do, though, you may never leave.
