Wed, March 15, 2006 - 4:21 PMFrom what I've heard from the consulate, only in the South-East of the country (Antakya and surroundings). Very few malaria reports, compared to many other countries. -

Thu, March 16, 2006 - 4:36 AMi have never had a problem living here and traveling around nor have i heard of anybody else with those issues.
i wouldn't worry about it. anyhow, there are pharmacies everywhere in turkey (eczanes) you could get malaria pills at if you really needed to. -

Re: Malaria
Sun, March 19, 2006 - 8:26 AMI just spent four days in olympos - very woody and pretty wet with the current rains - not one mosquito. i have yet to see a single mosquito in the 10 days here (antalya/olympos/pamukkala/selcuk) - though i've seen quite a few ticks on dogs down in the olympos area. I wouldn't worry about malaria right now -

Mon, March 27, 2006 - 6:54 PMI guess all the mosquitos live in Adana, or every Adanali mosquito decided to greet and take a bite out of me when I was there last. -
