What are the symbols above the word "Turkey" in the tourism logo representing?

    It's a tulip..slant your head slightly sideways, the red is the flower part of the tulip. ;)
    A little trivia...Tulips came from Turkey, they were exported to European countries where they became very popular...
    Chalk up yet another one for Turkey! ;D

        I'm about ready for some tulips here in Istanbul. Last year the city planted 3 million of them around town. Where are they this year? All they have is these cheesy, butt-ugly pansies...
