Hey everybody, I'll be going to Turkey in August, we are travelling down south to Ayvallik where we will take the Ferry across to visit my grandmother in Mytilene (greece). We were interested in chartering a yacht on the way back. We want to go to check out the coastline, but we would also like to sail back up to Istanbul. I've found that most chartering companies already have set routes and do not go all the way back up to Istanbul. Any suggestions???

I've been looking everywhere for ANY kind of boat ride ANYWHERE out of Istanbul.
There's supposed to be an overnight to Venice... there used to be service to Izmir... I think they cancelled both of them.

Fri, June 30, 2006 - 11:22 AMI was looking for something similar for a group of 16 friends and family for this August. Also found nothing heading up to Istanbul so we just chartered a regular mavi cruise route from Fethiye to Olympos. (Icem tourism did give us a good discount for a full charter).
